MusoKit for AI assistants

A free MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants look up chords, scales, transpositions, capo positions and tempo maths, and send you straight into the right MusoKit tool to hear it, tune or keep time.

No account, no API key. Read-only, and it never sees anything except the question your assistant sends it.

Add it to your assistant

Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the URL above.

ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → turn on developer mode → Create → paste the URL, authentication “None”.

What it can do

• chord_info Notes, formula and guitar fingering for any chord symbol, with diagram images.
• scale_info Notes and step pattern of 14 scales and modes.
• transpose_chords Move a progression by semitones or from one key to another.
• capo_finder The capo fret that gives the easiest open chord shapes.
• bpm_to_ms Delay and reverb times in milliseconds for a tempo.
• open_music_tool A ready-to-open link to the tuner, metronome, drum machine and more, preset for the user.
